These characters figure importantly in Trade Secrets. Spaulding Whittaker becomes David Randall's chairman at Trent University, and Jerry Aberdeen becomes VP of Braddock-Wilson Pharmaceuticals and leader of Team Lybreta. HOUSE FOR SALE

Henry Travers appears briefly in Trade Secrets, as one of the case conference patients. This story began life as a writing exercise, assigned by local author Sandi Kahn Shelton in a workshop. It was my first fiction publication. Published on-line in the April 2010 issue of The Shine Journal.

BROKEN ANGEL

This story features Sarah Ellis, who becomes a nurse practitioner and works with David Randall at the beginning of Trade Secrets. Broken Angel appeared in the 2011 print edition of Blood and Thunder, issue 11, pages 66-68.

FORECLOSURE

The story of Lucian Spesser, and especially his older brother Julian. Lucian works for Jerry Aberdeen in Trade Secrets. Both brothers appear in Life Secrets, and in State Secrets Julian will be trying to assassinate presidential candidate Chamberlain (Champy) Phelps. Foreclosure appeared in the Fall 2011 print edition of The MacGuffin, volume XXVIII, issue 1, pages 123-128.

HOME FOR BOYS

This short-short was originally a prologue for Trade Secrets. Like Foreclosure above, it features Lucian Spesser, this time at age twelve. It appeared in print and on-line the Spring 2012 edition of Black Fox (Issue #4, pp 7-8).
